About

Full disclosure–Potter Street Books was created for my various self-publishing ventures that go beyond my traditionally published works. However, in so doing, I found a desire to publish more than my own novels, because helping others to reach their creative goals holds a definite appeal, especially in the current publishing atmosphere.

I am looking for the following:

Women’s Fiction – heartfelt stories with a focus on real life decisions and dilemmas.

Cozy Mysteries – if you write them, you know what I mean. Quirky sleuths with a smalltown connection to the people and places in which the story and the crime are set.

Cookbooks with a Focus – such as vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, organic ingredients, etc.

Young Adult Books – original and compelling contemporary, historical, fantasy, humorous or dramatic works geared toward the thirteen to eighteen-year-old reader.

Middle Grade Books – Entertaining and thought-provoking works for the younger reader.

Children’s Picture Books – text, or text and author illustration – these books should be no more than 1,500 words.

If you are interested in submitting, please send an email on the contact page with your contact information and one paragraph describing your work, including word count, and whether or not the novel is completed.

I will do my best to respond to every query. If I pass on your work, it is not a reflection on your abilities, but more on mine. Every book deserves its best chance.

At this stage, books will be published both digitally and as print-on-demand. I do not offer an advance against royalties, but it is my desire to do so as Potter Street Books progresses in the publishing world. Royalties are competitive with current industry standards.

Thank you for your interest in Potter Street Books!
